FOUNDER

RODRIGO GUTIERREZ

Corialent

12 years ago, Rodrigo decided that the Coca Colas of the world shouldn’t be the only ones who get to have all the fun in the advertising industry. He was sick of all the dull, corporate, navy blue and white B2B work out there. Business people are people too. Corialent specializes in B2B marketing that doesn’t suck. And they want to get the rest of the industry drinking that delicious KoolAid.

Team Building Activities

If you're a planning on creating an effective and efficient team, then it's necessary that you know about team building activities. Team Building is a great way to bond a group of people together in order to increase productivity. That's why we're sharing this carefully crafted list of 16 real world team building activities and exercises to inspire you to take your business to the next level.

Icebreaker: During your first meeting, have everyone sit in a circle and give each other five minutes to talk about something important in their lives. The icebreaker activity can be a fun icebreaker, if it's done properly. Everyone can get up and say a few jokes, tell a few jokes, or make some comments. The goal is to engage everyone, so the conversation doesn't die down quickly.

Five minutes of icebreaking is a great way for everyone to get to know each other and warm up. It also provides a perfect opportunity for team members to learn more about each other without necessarily having to spend time in a group project. These fun icebreakers can be used in a variety of different settings, including business meetings, during recruitment drives, and even as after-party thank you gifts.

Charades. A lot of businesses, especially sales-oriented ones, have an icebreaker game or two that they play in the office. This icebreaker allows the team members to get to know each other without necessarily taking part in a discussion. There are a number of different icebreaker games, ranging from silly versions like "Guess a Secret" to more challenging games like "Anoopa!" These games let everyone break out of their work mode and have a little fun during the break.

Pin the tail on the donkey. While it's probably not a good idea to let children play with real weapons, this fun activity is a great icebreaker. Team members can dress up in disguises and make believe that they are being attacked by a lion. Then, they can use items around the office to try and pin the tail on their own person.

Water cooler trivia. Water cooler trivia has long been known as an effective ice breaker that allows people to get to know one another. Today, however, there are even fun versions of water cooler trivia that require participants to answer questions about current events or pop culture. In most cases, people end up making a fool of themselves because they do not know enough about the subject matter.

Toilet paper icebreaker. One of the oldest forms of icebreaker activity is still around today: using toilet paper to make a silly face or sign. The general idea is to have everyone hold a piece of toilet paper up to their nose and sign or draw something silly while everyone else laughs. After everyone has had a chance to laugh, everyone takes turns coughing the paper up. This is a game in which each participant receives counts, depending on how many times he or she coughs up the paper. It is quite an old time classic, but it always makes for an interesting icebreaker.

Charades icebreaker. Charades is an excellent choice if you would like to present your employees or managers with something that is both unique and fun at the same time. In charades, individuals are given multiple sheets of white or clear plastic and are made to answer questions about specific company topics while acting out a particular routine or situation. These types of activities are great because they give participants an idea of how the people within the organization to respond to various situations and allow them to put themselves in the shoes of their co-workers.
